1. Services Provided

The Stove Specialist provides professional appliance repair, installation, and maintenance services including:

  • Oven and stove repair and installation (gas and electric)
  • Dishwasher repair and installation
  • Rangehood repair and installation
  • Washing machine and dryer repair and installation
  • Electric cooktop repair and installation
  • Associated electrical and plumbing services

2. Service Area and Availability

We provide services across Sydney Metro including Eastern Suburbs, Inner West, Lower North Shore, and St George areas.

Business Hours: Monday to Friday, 8:00 AM to 4:00 PM

Emergency Services: Available when possible for urgent appliance failures

Service availability may be subject to technician schedules and parts availability.

3. Booking and Appointments

  • All appointments must be scheduled in advance by calling 02 9365 2508
  • We provide estimated arrival times and will contact you if delays occur
  • Access to the appliance and surrounding area must be provided
  • Someone over 18 years of age must be present during service
  • 24 hours notice is required for appointment cancellations
  • Same-day cancellations may incur a service fee

4. Pricing and Payment

Service Fee: A service fee applies for diagnostic work and minor repairs

Major Repairs: Quoted separately and require customer approval before commencement

Parts: We strive to use genuine parts where possible. Parts are charged at cost plus handling

Payment Terms:

  • Payment is due upon completion of service
  • We accept cash, bank transfer, and credit cards
  • Invoices are provided for all services
  • Outstanding payments may incur interest charges

5. Warranties and Guarantees

Service Warranty: 3 months on all repair work

Parts Warranty: 12 months on genuine replacement parts

Warranty Conditions:

  • Warranties cover defects in workmanship and materials
  • Normal wear and tear is not covered
  • Warranty is void if appliance is tampered with by unauthorized persons
  • Customer misuse or negligence voids warranty coverage
  • Warranty claims must be reported promptly

6. Limitation of Liability

Our liability is limited to:

  • Re-performing defective work at no charge during warranty period
  • Replacing defective parts during warranty period
  • Maximum liability shall not exceed the cost of services provided

We are not liable for:

  • Consequential or indirect damages
  • Loss of use, profits, or business interruption
  • Damage from pre-existing conditions not disclosed
  • Issues arising from customer-supplied parts or materials

7. Insurance and Licensing

The Stove Specialist maintains:

  • Current public liability insurance
  • Professional indemnity insurance
  • All required trade licenses and certifications
  • Workers' compensation insurance

Copies of insurance certificates and licenses are available upon request.

8. Health and Safety

For the safety of our technicians and your family:

  • Work areas must be clear and accessible
  • Gas appliances require proper ventilation during service
  • Electrical work is performed to Australian Standards
  • Safety testing is conducted on all completed work
  • Customers are advised of any safety concerns discovered

9. Consumer Rights

Under Australian Consumer Law, you have rights that cannot be excluded:

  • Services must be provided with due care and skill
  • Services must be fit for purpose
  • Services must be completed within reasonable time
  • Right to remedy if services fail to meet guarantees

These terms do not limit your rights under Australian Consumer Law.

10. Dispute Resolution

In the event of a dispute:

  • Contact us directly to discuss the issue
  • We will work in good faith to resolve complaints promptly
  • Unresolved disputes may be referred to NSW Fair Trading
  • These terms are governed by NSW and Australian law

11. Changes to Terms

We reserve the right to modify these terms at any time. Updated terms will be posted on our website and take effect immediately. Continued use of our services constitutes acceptance of modified terms.
